Entire Kalyani stadium was literally on its feet when the exciting high stakes match was going on between ASOS Rainbow AC and Eastern Railway SC. The match was alive till the last whistle and Rainbow AC ultimately left their fans with a sense of optimism for the remaining matches.

ASOS Rainbow AC was engaged in an intense rivalry

From the beginning of the match, ASOS Rainbow AC was competing fiercely with their opponent team and maintained a healthy ball position accompanied with some accurate passing, quality moving in the field and resilient defence. After leaving the first half goalless, Sourav Dasgupta, the captain scored a goal from a free kick that made their hard work turn into a success. But later in the 73rd minute, Rainbow AC conceded a penalty as a cross from the opponent midfielder ended up resulting in a handball inside the penalty box. The Eastern Railway striker converted the penalty in the equaliser despite a valiant effort by the Rainbow Goalkeeper. Rainbow players refused to be disheartened and showcased immense fighting spirit in the remaining minutes but still they were unable to find the back of the net once again.
